WatchGuard is announcing key information affecting the availability of WatchGuard AP120 access point hardware.
WatchGuard AP120 wireless access point End-of-Life – April 1, 2022
Given the availability of the new WatchGuard AP125 access point with the latest 802.11ac Wave 2 technology, WatchGuard has decided to announce the End-of-Life (EOL) of the AP120 access point. We have not yet announced EOS (End of Sale) for the AP120 access point since some customers will continue to purchase them after the AP125 is released. To assist customers in long term planning, WatchGuard is announcing an End of Life date for the AP120 access point – EOL is April 1, 2022. Note that this is an update to our policy where we may announce EOL before EOS in some cases.
Migration Path
Please consider the AP125, AP325 or the AP420—the latest 802.11ac Wave 2 access point models from WatchGuard. Product specifications and details regarding the AP125, AP325 and AP420 access points are available at the WatchGuard access point web page. You can manage WatchGuard access points with either a Firebox appliance and a Basic Wi-Fi AP management license to receive a lightweight feature set, or with WatchGuard's Wi-Fi Cloud with a Secure Wi-Fi or Total Wi-Fi AP management license. With the Wi-Fi Cloud, you get an expanded set of features including patented and verified WIPS security, social-enabled captive portals, and location-based analytics for optimal business insights.
More detailed information and our full EOL policy can be found on the End of Life policy page on our website.
